How to be an “Eco Fashionista” in the everyday life? Best graphic answers worth €3.000 Prize pot!

Fiat throughout 2010 continues to be the most environmentally friendly and innovative brand in Europe.

Fiat presents 500 TwinAir, the first 2-cylinder car bringing tangible benefits for the environment and for owners:

1) reducing carbon emissions up to 30%

2) less fuel consumption

3) equivalent high performance characteristics of a 4-cylinder engine

4) original outlook thanks to its new pale Blue Shade

Already one of Europe’s most popular cars, driving a 500 TwinAir means living an “Eco Fashion” Icon.

Fiat and Vogue have joined forces to present the 500 TwinAir at one of the most awaited events of the year: “Fashion’s Night Out”,

intended to animate the streets, the crowd, allowing anyone to meet designers and celebrities making a night for the fashion world a place to share innovative ideas. All this on the 9th September in Milan.

FIAT and Vogue seek your talent to help promote the launch in a unique way.

The question they ask you is:

how to interpret the “Eco Fashion” style in the everyday life?

From now on, driving a 500 TwinAir or riding a 500 bike – POP or Lounge model, the folding bike that has been custom made to go in the boot of the Fiat 500!

FIAT and Vogue request you to answer the question graphically, by creating an ArtDesign that can be printed on bike helmets, which represents an “Eco Fashion” style and which fits the image of an icon like the Fiat 500.

Moreover we must not forget helmets are soon going to be mandatory when on the pedals!

Prize pot € 3,000 euros and designer’s visibility!

First prize:

The best ArtDesign will be selected and acquired by FIAT, receiving a prize of € 2,000. The associated graphics will be printed on bicycle helmets on display and available to purchase in some 500 TwinAir cars, strategically located in Milan on the evening of September 9th. The helmets will be produced in limited edition, and some will be autographed by designers and other celebrities. The proceeds will go entirely to charity for the “Adopt a tree” scheme.

Second and Third Prize:

Two prizes of € 500 each for the second and third best designs, selected and acquired by FIAT to be printed on additional bicycle helmets or to be used for other types of marketing and communications.

Download kit for all technical details and Uploads open July the 29th at Shicon.com

Meanwhile you have all the elements to start development a graphic design around “Eco Fashion” concept.

Remember to insert in the ArtDesign the two logos, 500 and VOGUE.

“With 500 TwinAir the city would be a different story! Write it with us.”

Thanks,

FIAT..

Grazie,

FIAT.

guerra delapaz3

Alain Guerra and Neraldo de la Paz became a creative team in 1996. Their art is based on a combination of traditional disciplines and experimentation with dimension and the use of unconventional materials. For this sculputers and installations they used huge quantities of reclaimed textiles, in particular old ties: “Snakecharmer Portrait”.

Their figurative sculptures are always deeply ambitious in scale for the exceptional handicraft details and because they address difficult actual themes live violence, war, waste, consumerism….

honda selfridges

That’s the creative work of the young artist Kyle Bean: black and white Honda Fireblade suspended from one side of a set of scales, with a fully disassembled Fireblade balancing these out with its hundreds of parts hanging individually on wires of varying lengths. Window display in the world famous Selfridges department store on Oxford Street in London.

The display theme is ‘The Conservation of Mass’, with the displays cleverly and innovatively highlighting how matter cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed.

steampunk

That’s the elegant idea from Neal Bridgens handmade from brass, copper and even oak: “yes it’s real, not femo or glue or paint or found parts, it’s all hand made using jewellers techniques — it should probably outlive me (not the iPod mind you). It’s not particularly for sale, I use it and rather like it, but I’m not against offers being made…Much to my surprise about 20 people a day come by to look at this. Thanks for your interest! ”
I love deeply love that!

With great pleasure FreeStyle Reloaded introduce you a new Italian Eco-Artist, Paolo Lo Giudice: “Who makes intellectual work usually, in his free time, needs a manual jobs to get off from a sedentary lifestyle. I started 10 years ago looking at the pieces of broken moto bikes from my sons, combined that with a passion for modern and contemporary art. Now I use plastic, wood, leather and metal who offers more possibilities of composition and it’s very challenge!”

images|images_001_large

“I wondered if when an object ceases its original function, automatically becomes a waste. I think that the end of the objects depends on the person who takes care of them. Personally I can recover and reuse things trying to give them a new aesthetic dimension thus prolonging their life cycle”.

images|images_000_large

In 2004 Paolo started with his first exibithion to bring his unique creations all around Italy and never stopped! To find out more have a look at FreeStyle Reloaded’s site or to Paolo Lo Giudice’s gallery.
