That’s the amazing idea by Michael Johansson: to get everything, regular and irregular, to turn into regularly ArtWorks. A kind of Tetris Art.

“I am intrigued by irregularities in daily life. Not those that appear when something extraordinary occurs, but those that are created by an exaggerated form of regularity. Colours or patterns from two separate objects or environments concur, like when two people pass each other dressed in the exact same outfit. Or when you are switching channels on your TV and realize that the same actor is playing two different roles on two different channels at the same time. Or that one day the parking lot contained only red cars” he writes.

Tetris_FACT-1

“These irregularities, these coincidences, are another focus of my artwork.” And now have at Michael Johansson’s site to find out all his amazing ideas.

Growth in the culture of recycling and conservation Gibi learned first to decorate herself with her fantasies and then did it with others.

Each pin, each cap, every creative necklace is a mirror of her mood, of thoughts and situations.

Scrap of all kinds, costume jewelry, lace, fabrics, wood wastes, toys forgotten by the fast growing, parfume samples, pearls, ribbons, braids and glue marry sensations that come from outside and inside of this artist.

Little things became real symbolic messages because they are full of stories and smells of past; concepts to wear, decorative rhetoric.

This is a great recycle fashion project. Black Dog Textiles’s aim is : “The idea is that we work together to make something that you particularly value. For example you might have material from a dress or suit or even a curtain which you would like to have transformed into a beautiful and usable object. You might have seen one of our bags and love one just like it only a different colour or pattern – we can do that (identical is more difficult)”.

Don’t loose more time, click on blackdogtextiles.com website to try now!

Old television sets may not seem an obvious source of material for dressmaking and millinery, but Alison Bailey Smith, who has lived in Australia, Canada, San Francisco and England uses colorful recycled wire from electrical appliances as the basis for much of her work, which includes boxes, jewelry, lampshades, and clothing.

Alison Bailey Smith

Alison loves to organize workshops to show everyone how to turn old waste wire – mostly from old televisions – into FashionArt and this is amazing!

Now enjoy to do the same joning the “Art for a digital world” contest on Shicon.com
Good luck every one.

Fashion Handibags are a joy, but you want something different from everyone else – without it costing the earth. At Handibags we give you just that, all our Handbags are unique, one-off creations and we make everything from recycled fabrics so it doesn’t cost the Earth!

“The nature of the recycled fabrics that come my way means that every ‘Handibag’ is a one-off, it might be possible to get two bags from a piece of fabric but they are never the same because of the trimmings, linings, handles and so on. I spend a lot of time sourcing unusual fabrics to recycle and reuse, I enjoy the challenge of making the most of the fabrics I find” says the Handibags staff.
